Step into your role as a leader with clarity and confidence.
Strength to Lead is a strengths-based leadership development program grounded in positive psychology, wellbeing science, and real-world leadership practice. The course helps leaders become strong, capable, and grounded in their leadership by developing their character strengths, building nervous system regulation capacity, and intentionally shifting focus from what’s wrong to what’s strong.
Through this integrated approach, leaders learn to lead in ways that are more sustainable, more motivating, and more energizing—while creating the conditions for teams to experience higher engagement, stronger wellbeing, improved performance, and reduced burnout and absenteeism. Strength to Lead treats wellbeing not as self-care or an add-on, but as a foundational leadership capacity that enables effective, ethical, and enduring leadership.
What’s Included
Participants receive assessments and resources that are built into the course experience:
PERMAH 4+ Workplace Wellbeing Assessment
Completed in Session 1 and used to create a personalized workplace wellbeing plan that participants practice throughout the program.
VIA Character Strengths (Total 24) Report
Reviewed in Session 2 to support a clear understanding of each participant’s strengths profile and how to apply it in leadership.
Course website resource library
Ongoing access to curated books to read, videos to deepen areas of interest, selected research papers, and podcasts for continued learning and application.
Module playbooks
Each module includes a beautifully designed, detailed playbook that captures the key concepts, practices, and tools covered—so participants can apply the work between sessions and after the course ends.
What You’ll Learn
This program is more than leadership theory — it’s a guided, real-time learning experience. Every session is interactive, practical, and supported by live coaching, peer discussion, and reflection, so you leave with tools you’ve tried, not just talked about.
You’ll move through six core modules over six weeks — each designed to be adapted to your team’s unique context, challenges, and culture, ensuring the lessons resonate and create lasting impact where it matters most.
Sessions at a Glance
Session 1: Capacity to Lead: Calm, Focus, and Sustainable Energy
How wellbeing and nervous system regulation shape attention, judgment, and leadership presence. Participants complete the PERMAH 4+ assessment and build a realistic, personalized workplace wellbeing plan they’ll practice throughout the program.
Session 2: Unlocking Your Strengths: Leading From What’s True
A deep dive into VIA Character Strengths to clarify what genuinely energizes each leader. Participants identify optimal strengths use (not overuse), understand personal drain patterns, and learn how to apply strengths deliberately in daily leadership.
Session 3: Strengths Under Pressure: Self-Trust Over Second-Guessing
How stress distorts confidence—and how leaders rebuild self-trust through evidence, not perfection. Participants identify flow moments, experiment with strengths in real time, and create a personal “return to center” plan for high-pressure situations.
Session 4: Strengths-Based Leadership: Influence Without Control
Translating strengths into everyday leadership behaviours like delegation, recognition, redirection, and development. Participants shift from control-based defaults to strengths-based leadership that supports well-being, creativity, and accountability.
Session 5: Seeing Strength in Others: Develop Without Carrying
Building the skill of noticing and developing strengths in others—even when performance is messy or frustrating. Leaders learn to support growth without rescuing or over-functioning, and begin creating shared language for “at our best” as a team.
Session 6: Shift to Strong: Reframing People and Problems
Rewiring how leaders see challenges by interrupting threat-based thinking and deficit focus. Participants practice the “Shift to Strong” method to reframe real situations, support calm decision-making, and embed strengths-based thinking into culture and follow-through.
